How many players do we need?
Three to eight. Below three there is nobody left to vote for someone else’s line — you cannot vote for your own.
Do we need a TV?
No. A TV makes it a show — everyone watches the same screen and the phone becomes a controller. Without one, everything happens on your phones and the game works just as well.
To use a TV, open klapo.app/tv on it and enter the code shown on the host’s phone.
Does everyone need the app?
Yes. Every player joins from the Klapo mobile app on their phone. The TV and web pages are shared screens or viewing surfaces, never browser game controllers.
How long is a game?
Three rounds, about fifteen minutes. The last round counts double.
What if I have no idea what to write?
Nothing bad. If you write nothing, the game slips in a fallback line for you — you stay in the round, and nobody knows it was not yours.
Do I need an account?
No. You play straight away. Linking an email is optional and only keeps your history if you change phones.
Who pays for the packs?
Only the host. Buy a pack once and the whole table plays with it, game after game — your guests pay nothing.
Where do the clips come from?
Public-domain films and freely licensed archives. Every clip stores its source and its licence, checked one by one.
Someone wrote something offensive.
Report it in one tap during the reveal. An automatic filter already blocks the crudest lines, and the host can remove a player from the room.
